- Description
- The Government has a requirement to incorporate improved sighting capabilities under all environmental conditions into the Marine Corps LAV-25. Additional capabilities are desired to provide improved first hit capabilities, as well as improved target location designation. These include: a. Ballistic solutions from an integrated Fire Control Computer (FCC), b. Target Coordinate Computation Capability (TCCC), c. Target laser designation capability from a Laser Designator Module (LDM), and d. Target Motion Indicator (TMI). A total of 408 LAV-25's will be retrofitted and 8 systems will be required training. The acquisition will consist of two phases: Phase I for Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) and Phase II for Production. Under Phase I, the Contractor shall design, fabricate, and deliver four (4) Improved Thermal Sight Systems that meet the requirements of the Purchase Description (PD). Phase II includes options for production, integration, installation, and support of ITSS. Both phases include requirements for data and contractor support. The Contractor will provide full supportability of all parts and components for a minimum of fifteen (15) years. (See solicitation for actual offer due date).
