Description

The Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCDD) intends to purchase on a sole source basis, 1 ea MPX-856 Clock Expander Backplane w/firmware included P/N MPX-856-BP; 1 ea module for the FX-4P switch P/N FX-4P-1397B/LED; 1 ea line card of a two card module (line card & connector card) P/N MPP-1397B; 1 ea Power supply module MPS-16 or MPS-32 MATRIX switch power supply module P/N MPS-PWR-V2; 1 ea Power supply Module MPS-16 or MPS-32 MATRIX switch power supply module P/N MPS-PWR-V1; 1 ea Expander card MPX-856 Clock Expander Card, P/N MPS801I0-M-MPX; 1 ea 4-channel card P/N MPS801I0-M; 1 ea Switch firmware UPG end around switch firmware upgrade for MPP-33, MPS-32 & MPS-16 switches. These XComm switches are utilized to support all NTDS A/B/D/E switching and NTDS to fiber converter requirements in support of the AEGIS Computer Center(ACC) Lifetime Support Engineering Agent mission. Due to the large quantity of XComm switches in the ACC, additional modules are required to ensure the switching requirements can be fulfilled in a timely fashion. The sole source nature of this procurement derives from the fact that the Switching Modules are proprietary to XComm. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures -- reference is Quote N00178-01-Q-9039.
