Description

NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center plans to issues a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the following items: 1. VXWORKS OEM License: 2 Users For R6K UP for Explorer Program MODEL NUMBER: FOR R6000 PART NUMBER: 100-8044 2. 1 Year Maintenance Support for 2 USER MODEL NUMBER: R6K Support PART NUMBER: 130-5094 3. 2 USER Target License PART NUMBER: 140-14150 This procurement is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the above mentioned items from Wind River Systems, as they are the originator of this software, and the only vendor that can provide software support for the items. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 4:30p.m. local time on March 23, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses t this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
