Description
The purpose of this specification is to describe the minimum requirements for the overall, repair, and installation, of various component parts for the Electron Beam Welder, EBW 15kW, Serial Number 670, Bar Code: 16917, located in Building 108 at Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama. The manufacturer shall utilize existing designs and part modules from standard products. Subsequent to the delivery and installation of the overhauled/repaired parts, the manufacturer shall supply all changes made by the manufacturer. Welding, brazing or soldering shall be employed only where those operations are required in the original design. These operations shall not be employed as repair measures for defective parts or materials. All overhauled/repaired parts subject to removal or adjustment shall not be swaged, penned, staked or otherwise permanently deformed. All screws, bolts and other similar fastening devices shall be installed with adequate means for preventing loss of proper tightness and adjustment.
