Description

The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Department of Health and Human Services contemplates awarding a three year cost reimbursement contract with two 12 month option periods. Award of this requirement is subject to the availability of Fiscal Year 2001 funds. The purpose of the contract is to provide a mechanism by which CSAT and CMHS can conduct policy relevant analyses of an integrated ( MH/SA/Medicaid) data base created under a previous contract, and provide technical assistance to States who want to move their Mental Health and Substance Abuse Agency and Medicaid MH/SA data in the direction of MH/SA and MH/SA/Medicaid Agency data integration. The MH/SA/Medicaid integrated data base created combines person level information and (to the extent available) information about costs of mental health and substance abuse treatment services provided by States through the MH/SA Authorities or by Medicaid. For Medicaid recipients, information about physical health care provided by Medicaid was also included in the data base. A DRAFT Statement of work, and DRAFT performance standards criteria will be posted on SAMHSA's Internet website at http://www.samhsa.gov [see Contracts] on or about Friday, March 9, 2001. The DRAFT items are posted in order to obtain industry comments, and industry compatible standards, if applicable. Interested Parties are encouraged to review the draft items and send comments electronically to: Ltantard@SAMHSA.GOV. Comments will be received until March 19, 2001. The estimated issuance date of RFP 270-01-7087 is March 23, 2001 with proposals due approximately May 4, 2001. The solicitation may be obtained in either of two ways; by mail, or electronically, by downloading a file from the World Wide Web at http://www.samhsa.gov/contract. Files will not be made available on the World Wide Web until on or after the estimated issuance date. Once downloaded, you should determine if you have a continuing interest in the RFP. If so, you must either write the individual identified above that you wish copies of amendments to the RFP (if any) sent to you by mail or check the Web regularly for amendments which will also be posted there and can be downloaded electronically. You may choose any of the two methods for obtaining amendments.
