Description

DESC: Quantities have been reduced from the sources sought synopsis dated 16 November 2000. This requirement is for the following: M40A1 Masks (S)/(M)/(L), NSNs: 4240-01-370-3821/3822/3823, Part Numbers: 5-1-2740-10/20/30; M42A2 Masks(S)/(M)/(L), NSNs: 4240-01-413-4100/4101/4102, Part Numbers: 5-1-3328-10/20/30; and Facepiece Assembly (S)/(M)/(L), NSNs: 4240-01-415-4517/4518/-416-0430, Part Numbers: 5-1-1001-10/20/30. Anticipated 5-year requirements for the M40A1 Mask are: FY01 14,738 each, FY02 9,615 each, FY03 8,549 each, FY04 8,449 each and FY05 8,389 each for all sizes, for a total estimated quantity of 49,740 each; for the M42A2 Mask: FY01 2,180 each, FY02 2,500 each, FY03 2,500 each, FY04 2,500 each and FY05 2,500 each for a total estimated quantity of 12,180 each; Facepiece Assembly: FY01 20,600 each, FY02 19,300 each, FY03 12,600 each, FY04 20,900 each and FY05 10,700 each for a total estimated quantity of 84,100 each. The anticipated maximum quantities for FY01- FY05 are 115,000 M40A1 Masks; 13,750 M42A2 Masks and 170,000 Facepieces. This is a best value procurement, and past performance will be evaluated along with price. Technical may also be evaluated. FOB is origin. First Article is required. Award of a long-term contract is anticipated. The estimated issue date of this solicitation is 30 Mar 01. TDP may be requested electronically and a hardcopy will be provided. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(2)(7) and 14.205 (c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided.
