- Description
- The Social Security Administration has the need for a contractor to provide all necessary labor, materials and supervision to install three (3) overhead doors, inaccordance with the scope of work below. Equipment: The contractor shall furnish and install three (3) 26_8_ X 18_2_ overhead doors at the National Computer Center loading dock. The doors shall be of rolling steel stormite non-insulated service doors. The doors will have the following standard features: baked on gray finish, 18- gauge flat slate curtain, full perimeter weather-stripping, alternate malleable iron endlocks, steel angle guides with wear strips, double angle weather-stripped bottom bar, interior weather baffle, 100,000 cycle springs with heavy duty bearings, motor operation, 2 HP electric operator, electric safety edge, photo edge. Electric: All electrical wiring shall be the responsibility of the contractor. The door entrance has a red and green light indicating entering and leaving of the area. The light indicator should be working properly at the completion of the installation of the new doors. Security: The contractor shall only remove one door at a time and at the end of the workday that door shall be functional. The contractor shall inform the project officer what door is being worked on. Clean Up: The contractor shall be responsible for keeping the area neat and clean at all times. The contractor shall not use the Government dumpsters and shall remove all trash from the Government_s property, such as the old doors and hardware and any other related trash. Warranty: All doors and parts shall have at least a one (1) year warranty from the date of completion. Hours of Operation: The hours of operation are from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Building Regulation: All contractor_s employees working on the premise shall follow all building regulations such as signing in and out and NO SMOKING throughout the building. Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be 90 (ninety) days from date of award. Site Visit: A site visit has been schedule for Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at 10:00 a.m., location: Social Security Administration, 6201 Security Blvd., Baltimore, Maryland 21235. Additional Information: (1) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is SSA-RFQ-01- 0148 and the solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) using the simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. Offerors should be alert for any amendments that may permit subsequent submission of proposal dates. (2) Quotes submitted in response to this solicitation shall be submitted by Friday, March 16, 2001 by close of business. Your quote shall be addressed to Social Security Administration, Office of Acquisition and Grants, Attn: Sharon Hall, 1710 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21207; Telephone: (410) 965-9534 or faxed to (410) 966-0310. (3) This is a total small business setaside procurement. Offerors shall bid on ALL or NONE of the items identified in this solicitation (4) Award will be made on the basis of technically acceptable product, price and past performance. (5) The provision of FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct 2000) applies to this acquisition, especially the following paragraphs: (a) NAICS Code is 3379, Size Standard 500; (b) (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), (10) and (11); (c), (f), and (g). (6) Offerors must propose firm-fixed prices for all items. (7) Offerors are required to include a completed and signed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (Mar 2001) with their offer. (8) The provision at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions_Commercial Items (Mar 2001) applies to this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercials Items (Aug 200) applies to this acquisition, especially: (b) (11), (b) (12), (b) (13), (b) (14), (b) (15), (b) (17), (b) (18), (b) (19), (b) (20), (b) (21) and (b) (25).
