Description

This is a notice to award a Sole Source purchase order to the Institute for Circumpolar Health Studies, University of Alaska, Carl Hild, Deputy Director of the Institute for Circumpolar Health Studies at University of Alaska Anchorage,is recognized as a pivotal figure in Alaskan Environmental issues and persistent organic pollutants. This is a simplified acquisition of $12,000.00. The contractor will prepare a summary chapter on the human health and ecological effects of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in Alaska. This summary will be an integral part of a report summarizing the technical foundation for United States participation in the UNEP global POPs treaty, and will be written to educate decision makers, academics and the public on this treaty. Under the simplified acquisition procedures for other than full and open competitions authorized by FAR part 6.302-2. is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation for offers.
