- Description
- The Analytical Operations Center (AOC) of EPA's Office of Emergency and Remedial Response (OERR) is seeking information from the Environmental testing laboratory community specializing in the analyses of Organic compounds. This information is needed for development of a new non-routine analytical service (NONRAS) contract being proposed by AOC. This contract will cover a wide variety of Organic analyses on environmental samples taken from a multitude of matrices, it is anticipated that the Agency will require these services by the summer/fall of 2001. All qualified laboratories wishing to participate in NONRAS will be awarded a general contract and will compete for individual projects as the needs arise. This should ensure that all laboratories, including laboratories specializing in only a limited number of analytical techniques, will have full opportunity to receive samples during the duration of the contracts. A questionnaire has been developed to gather information regarding the analytic capabilities of the laboratory community and will be used by AOC to determine the number of laboratories available to participate in such a service and to access the overall capabilities of the laboratory community to meet the needs of the program. Each laboratory with interest in participating in NONRAS is asked to complete the questionnaire and return to Hannah Burke via fax at (202) 565-2558 or by email at burke.hannah@epa.gov or by mail to USEPA, Ariel Rios Building (3805R), 1200 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, 3805R, Washington, DC 20460 no later than April 30, 2001. Each laboratory is also encouraged to include other information pertinent to the laboratory's capabilities as long as it is relevant to analytical organic analyses on environmental type samples. The questionnaire can be downloaded from the internet at the following site: http://www.epa.gov/oam/srpod
