Description

The work consists of construction of a new 1,333 square meter Combined Child Development Center (CDC) to provide quality childcare facilities for dependent children from infants up to middle school age children. Work also includes the following: Demolition of an existing outdoor basketball court, all sitework required to construct the new facility, and finished grading and landscaping around the facility with fenced outdoor play areas that are furnished with age appropriate play equipment and play surfaces. A service and mechanical yard adjacent to the building and enclosed by a masonry wall is also included in the project. Estimated magnitude of work is between $1,000,000 and $10,000,000. Issue date for solicitation will be on or about April 5, 2001. IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format. No phone calls to order please. All orders will be via first class mail. Bid opening date will be on or about May 8, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. NAICS: 233320. If a subcontracting plan is required, the following minimum subcontracting goals for the Little Rock District will be applicable: 61.4% of the contractor's total intended subcontracted amount will be placed with Small Businesses (including small disadvantaged and woman-owned businesses); 9.1% of the total subcontracted amount be placed with small disadvantaged businesses, %10 of the total subcontracted amount be placed with historically black colleges or universities/minority institutions; 5% of the total subcontracted amount be placed with woman-owned businesses; 2% of the total subcontracted amount be placed with hub-zone businesses; and 3% of the total subcontracted amount be placed with veteran owned businesses.
