Description

SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY: The Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion & Repair, USN, Portsmouth, VA is interested in seeking commercial firms experienced in the removal and installation of various deck coverings, in predominantly the "wet" spaces (heads, galleys, passageways, etc.)on U.S. Navy Submarines (SSN & SSBN classes). These vessels are located, predominantly in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area, but may be located elsewhere on the East Coast. Quantities are smaller than on board U.S. Navy Surface Vessels and disruptions to normal work processes are frequent. Submarine schedules are frequently adjusted and work aboard these type vessels require contractors to meet stringent security requirements prior to performance.
