Description

The Network Business Center, at the San Diego VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Delta-T Systems, Inc., San Diego, CA 92121 under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-04. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to be used for a custom made air-handling unit. The complete unit is made of stainless steel, and has been designed for the VA Medical Center in San Diego, California. The installation of this equipment is being done in-house with a large savings to the Government. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received by 4:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time, March 16, 2001, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
