Description

A/E shall provide all services for design of a new fire alarm system for the entire VA Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky, including all outbuildings, as well as the replacement of several existing medical gas alarm panels located throughout the main hospital building. Project will include, but is not limited to the following: demolition of the existing systems and their associated devices; installation of new systems and devices; preparation of complete specifications, drawings and construction cost estimates. Design will be based upon current standards and will update VA systems to compliance to those standards. Drawings shall be prepared in ACAD 2000 format, and specifications shall be compatable with Microsoft Word 97. Estimated construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. No construction contract may be awarded to the firm that designs the project. A/E firms must be located within a 30 mile radius of the VA Medical Center, Louisville, KY, to be considered. Contract award is subject to availability of funding. NAICS code is 541310 with a small business size standard of $4 million.
