- ISSUE DATE: MARCH 27, 2001. Solicitation DTCGG1-01-R-3WKISC. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal required for the upgrade of the sand blast/paint booth, Bldg. 14, USCG ISC Boston,MA (Suffolk County). The work includes, but is not limited to, removing various worn items from the existing abrasive blast/paint booth and installing new items in their place, removing existing filter racks, installing deeper filter racks, and fabricating and installing filter cover plates, and provide training on proper maintenance of installed components and misc. related work. The existing blast/paint booth was built as a turn-key operation by Wheel-Abbrator Frye. To ensure all equipment will function as originally designed, the worn parts shall be replaced with parts manufactured by the original equipment manufacturer. NAICS code is 811310, with a size standard of $5 Million. The government intends to negotiate solely with USF Surface Preparation, who is affiliated with the original equipment manufacturer. USF was the only interested source when this procurement was advertised in Oct 2000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, pursuant to numbered Note 22, which will be considered by the agency. Solicitation will be issued on MARCH 27, 2001, and may be accessed for download beginning on the date of issue at the following site: http://www.eps.gov . Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted on this web site. The due date for receipt of proposals is APRIL 26, 2001. SEE NUMBERED NOTE NO. 22 for further information. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
