Description

Sources sought for Infectious Disease Serology Testing reagents and instrumentation. This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources that can supply serology testing reagents and instrumentation for VA Medical Centers in VISN 2 Laboratories. The following tests are currently being performed manually and we are conducting market research to evaluate the availability of automated testing: Hepatitis B surface antigen, Hepatitis B surface antibody, Hepatitis B core antibody, Mumps IgG, VZV, IgG, Rubeola IgG, H. pylori IgG, Rubella IgG, Hepatitis C antibody. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Hubzone 8(a), 8(a), Hubzone, small, small disadvantage and large business)relative to NAICS Code 325413(small business size standardard is 500 employees). Please do not request a copy of a solicitation, as there is no solicitation. This is a market research sources sought only. This sources sought will not obligate the Government to award any contract. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, Cage Code, size of business pursuant to North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS). If a solicitation is issued as a result of this Market Research it will be announced at a later date in the CBD and all interested parties must respond to that announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis is NOT a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Responses to this notice shall be mailed to the attention of Mary T. Betker, 90NCA, VA Medical Center, 3495 Bailey Ave. Buffalo, NY 14215. Telephone and/or e-mail responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than March 30, 2001.
