- Description
- PROGRAM OFFICER: The U.S. Department of the Treasury is seeking administrative and program management staff to serve as program assistants for its Washington, DC-based technical assistance program. The persons selected will be hired under personal services contracts. The Office of Technical Assistance provides overseas advisors to 30 countries in five functional areas: enforcement, government debt issuance and management, budget policy, financial institutions policy, and tax policy. Program Officers will provide administrative and project management support for intermittent and overseas resident advisors in one of the functional areas and will provide general support for operations in all areas. The ideal candidate will have a master_s degree in international affairs or a relevant subject matter; two to five years of work experience, preferably in USG foreign assistance; project management experience; overseas experience; some foreign language capability; and excellent written and oral communication skills. Budgeting or accounting experience is desirable. US citizenship is required. In accordance with program regulations, starting salaries are negotiable from $36,656 to $47,648 (includes DC-based locality pay), based on demonstrated salary history, and shall not exceed the maximum indicated.
