Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey intends to enter into negotiations with Honeywell International, for four (4) air turbine starters (P/N 383694-1-3), Model ATS100-302, in support of the F414-GE-400 turbofan engine program. The Government intends to procurement these services under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Honeywell International is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the air turbine starter. In addition, the Government does not own any data, drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should reference N68335-01-R-0204. Information should be received no later than 27 March 2001. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation package will be available.
