Description
66 -- The USDA, Agrigultural Research Service in Albany, California has a requirement for a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) autosampler upgrade and thermal analysis controller with multi-module control option and a 17" high-resolution color monitor. This equipment will upgrade an existing TA Instrument, 2910 modulated DSC, to operate robotically in conjunction with existing TA Instrument thermomechanical analyzer, thermogravimetric analyzer and isolation transformer. The required thermal analysis controller includes Windows NT 4.0 (SP6a) operating system, computer with 800MHz Pentium III processor, integrated audio, CD ROM, 3D graphics, 128 MB RAM, 1.44 MB floppy, 20GB hard drive, ethernet interface and zip drive, an autoanalysis program to write and save macros during autosampling, thermal analysis, multi-module controls with the ability to control up to 8 modules simultaneously, and software library. The TA Instrument DSC Autosampler Upgrade, part number 911200.901; Thermal Analyst 5000 with Multimodule Control Option, Advantage AutoAnalysis Program, and Advantage Specialty Software Library meet our research requirements and the Government intends on negotiating with the only known responsible source, TA Instruments.
