Description

The purpose of this Source of Sought is to perform market research for: CATHOLIC MUSIC COORDINATOR 1. The Catholic Music Director will coordinate directly with the Senior Catholic Chaplain. 2. QUALIFICATIONS: a. Must have knowledge of Catholic liturgy basics and Catholic liturgical music or willingness to be trained in this area. b. Must have current involvement in liturgical ministry. c. Must participate in the sacramental life of the parish community on a regular basis. 3. RESPONSIBILITIES: a. Plans liturgical celebrations for the Saturday 1730 Mass, the Sunday 0930 Mass and for the Holy Day Masses with the advice of the Senior Catholic Chaplain. b. Coordinate music selections with the Senior Catholic Chaplain. c. Provides quarterly liturgical workshop opportunities for choir and musicians. d. Be available to parish organizations for assistance in planning and assessing various liturgical/sacramental celebrations. e. Attends and coordinates the choir rehearsals on Tuesday evenings. f. Responsible for recruiting a volunteer choir for the Saturday, 1730 and Sunday, 0930 Masses. g. Coordinates facility and material requirements with chapel staff. h. Attends liturgy workshop/seminar when made available. i. Directs choir at special services as required by the Senior Catholic Chaplain. j. Responsible for providing musicians for the Saturday 1730 Mass and the 0930 Sunday Mass. k. Responsible for providing song leader for Mass as required.
