- Description
- The proposed acquisition is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. The applicable codes are: The SIC Code: 7629 with Size Standards of $5 million and NAICS Code: 811219 with Size Standards of $5 million. The contractor shall provide all services, management, administration, personnel, equipment, materials, supplies and transportation, except as specified as Government Furnished Property and Services. The services include: preventive and corrective maintenance and overhaul of electronic equipment; equipment inventory and parts inventory control. Including but not limited to ordering, receiving, distribution and maintenance of supply levels; test equipment pick-up and delivery services; remote grounds and facility maintenance service; special requirement which include various types of electronic support or services. Electronic maintenance is required at shore units, afloat units, remote sites and in motor vehicles within the Thirteenth Coast Guard District which includes the states of Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. The Coast Guard will provide electronics shops in Seattle and Port Angeles, Washington; North Bend, Yaqunia Bay, Astoria and Portland, Oregon. The services are required to be performed at exposed, elevated locations; on cutters and boats; on structures, poles, and towers, (some in excess of 100_) on land and in the marine environment and in the vicinity of operating helicopters. The performance period of the Base Year is 01 October 2001 through 30 September 2002, with four (4) one year options. The solicitation will be posted on the Electronic Posting System on or about 12 April 2001. All interested 8(a) firms are encouraged to download the solicitation. The solicitation will include firm fixed-price service items and Indefinite Delivery _ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for task hour work items. Award will be made on best value to the Government. For informational purposes: Minority, Women-owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime rates to provide accounts receiving financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
