Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Simplex Time Recorder Company, 820 Parkview, Lombard, Illinois 60148 for Fire Alarm and Security Maintenance Contract Service at 600 West Madison Street, Chicago, Illinois 60661. The Simplex 4120 Fire Alarm System is a miniplex micro-processor controlled fire alarm system. The system is manufactured by Simplex and is the sole source for parts and some aspects of maintenance/ service. System program revisions and corrections can only be made by Simplex because their software is proprietary. The system is composed of specially designed circuit boards. All boards are manufactured by Simplex and are not commercially available from an electronic supply store. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a competitive request for quotation and the Government does not intend to pay information solicited or received. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of information received. The Government will consider all information from responsible sources within 14 days after the date of publication of this synopsis.
