- Description
- This proposed procurement is 100% set aside for small business. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). SIC CODE 0782/NAICS Code 115310; small business size standard $5,000,000.00. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, containers and equipment necessary for Gypsy Moth Spraying at Raystown Lake. Raystown Lake is a 30,000 acre U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project located in south central Pennsylvania, approximately 40 miles south of State College and 30 miles east of Altoona. A total of 6,147 acres (plus or minus 5 percent) of forested land is proposed for treatment. There will be a pre-bid tour on March 23, 2001, at the Seven Points Visitor Center Ranger Office at 1:00 p.m. to discuss questions and concerns of potential bidders. Representatives from the Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Forest Service will be in attendance to answer contractors' questions. Contract period will be approximately 10 May 2001 through 20 May 2001. The total estimated amount is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be in either: compact disk (CD) or web site. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors may view and/or download solicitation information from the Internet at http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. It is imperative that all small disadvantaged businesses contact their cognizant Small Business Administration office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification. Without SBA SDB certification, a prime contractor nor a federal agency, can receive SDB credit when utilizing non-certified SDB contractors/subcontractors. In order to comply with Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract.
