Description

Project Consists of Connector Track, Turning Wye, Scale House, Vehicle Wash Facility, Container Loading/Storage Aprons, Locomotive Shelter and Lumber Storage Building, Fort Hood, Texas. Bids from large business firms must comply with FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a Subcontracting plan. The Fort Worth District subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractor's total planned subcontract amount to be placed with the following: Small Business 61.4%; Small Disadvantaged Business 9.1%; Women-Owned Small Business 5%; HUBZONE Small Business 0.5%; American Veteran-Owned Small Business Subcontractors (Disabled American Veteran-Owned Small Business) 3% and HBCU/MI 2%. Estimated Cost Range: $5 Million to $10 Million. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 233320, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, which corresponds to SIC Code 1542 and the Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million. Solicitation to be issued on or about 26 March 2001. Bid Opening on or about 25 April 2001. Duration of the project is 669 calendar days. Offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), in order to receive a government contract award.
