Description

Provide all labor, materials & supervision necessary to correct life safety deficiencies IAW plans & specs at the Ralph H. Johnson Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Charleston, SC. Work will include removal of partitions & ceilings to provide access to the joint between two adjacent buildings. A 2-hour horizontal fire barrier is to be installed to provide separation from the First Floor. A 2-hour verticle fire barrier is to be installed at the mechanical chase to complete the compartment separation. Partitions & ceilings are to be installed along with devices shown. Work will include interior demolition including partitions & ceilings with associated mechanical, electrical, & plumbing systems, handrails & finishes. Work will also require access to the mechanical shaft at the First Floor. NAICS: 233320. Cost range: $25,000 -- $100,000. Bid package will be available 3/14/01 from Mary S.
