Description

The work involves: removing existing reinforced concrete hydraulic structures and constructing new reinforced concrete hydraulic structures; furnishing and installing 32,875 sf of sheet pile, 4,994 cy of riprap, 39,315 sy of PVC membrane lining and associated earthwork, 11,470 lf of woven and chain link fence, 3,570 lf of buried pipe drains and associated structures, 1,759 cy of gravel surfacing for roads, 4,394 lf of pressure pipe ranging in size from 2-inches to 72-inches in diameter, 75 lf of 10'x10' box culvert, 2,875 lbs of miscellaneous metalwork, 10 steel or cast-iron slide gates, and 243 lf of CMP culverts; contructing 13,444 lf of road; seeding 34.6 acres; constructing an irrigation pipe crossing; and constructing and reshaping 7,618 lf of canal and laterals. Portions of the work are located within the boundaries of the Environmental Protection Agency's Whitewood Creek Superfund Site. The estimated price of the work is $100,000 to $250,000. The work is located at Pactola Dam, approximately 12 miles west of Rapid City, South Dakota, in Pennington County. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available on April 9, 2001. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on May 17, 2001, at the Bureau of Reclamation Office, located at 515 9th Street, Rapid City, South Dakota 57701. The contract is to be completed by no later than October 15, 2001. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation; additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge at the office shown above, or at the Bureau's office at 316 North 26th Street, Room 2031 Federal Building, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered . The small business size standard is $17,000,000 and the standard industrial code is 1629.
