Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation number is N00164-01-R-0049. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20 and DCN 20001213. The North American Free Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 212312 and the size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is 100% Set-aside for Small Business. This requirement is for the purchase and delivery of Crushed Limestone and Sand. CLIN 0001 quantity 1000 TN min/300,000 TN max, Crushed Limestone, Size 53, Class A, in accordance with Indiana State Specifications (1985 Up-date), 100% to pass through 1 " screen, 80-100% to pass through 1" screen, 70-90% to pass through " screen, 55-80% to pass through " screen, 35-60% to pass through No. 4 screen, 25-50% to pass through No. 8 screen. Soundness (sodium sulphate) 12% loss maximum. CLIN 0002 quantity 1000 TN min/50,000 TN max, Crushed Limestone, Size 11, Class A, in accordance with Indiana State Specifications (1985 Up-date), 100% to pass through " screen, 75-95% to pass through 3/8" screen, 10-30% to pass through No. 4 screen and 0-10% to pass through No. 8 screen. Soundness (sodium sulphate) 12% loss maximum. CLIN 0003 -- quantity 1000 TN min/200,000 max, Crushed Limestone, Size 73, Class A, in accordance with Indiana State Specifications (1995 Up-date) 100% to pass through 1" screen, 90-100% to pass through " screen, 60-90% to pass through " screen, 35-60% to pass through No. 4 screen, 24-50% to pass through No. 8 screen, 12-30% to pass through No. 30 screen and 5-10% to pass through No. 200 screen. CLIN 0004 quantity 1000 TN min/200,000 TN max, Crushed Limestone, Size No. 7, Class A, in accordance with Indiana State Specifications. CLIN 0005 quantity 1000 TN min/200,000 TN max, Crushed Limestone, Surge, this stone does not have a State Specification. All gradations are by sight. 100% to pass through 12 " screen, 80-100% to pass through 8" screen, 25-60% through 2" screen and 5025% through No. 200 screen. This is a mixture of RIP-RAP, No. 2 stone and No. 53 stone. CLIN 0006 quantity 1000 TN min/200,000 TN max, Crushed Limestone, Size No. 2, Class A, in accordance with Indiana State Specifications (1985 Up-date), 100% to pass through 2 " screen, 95-100% to pass through 2" screen, 0-20% to pass through 1" screen, 0-5% through " screen and 0-2% through " screen. Soundness (sodium sulphate) 12 % loss maximum. CLIN 0007 quantity 1000 TN min/100,000 TN max, Crushed Limestone, Size No. 4, Class A, in accordance with American Railway Engineering Association Specifications, 100% to pass through 2" screen, 90-100% to pass through 1 " screen, 20-55% through 1" screen, 0-15% through " screen and 0-5% through 3/8" screen. CLIN 0008 quantity 1000 TN min/200,000 TN max, Stone, Revetment, RIPRAP. The gradation of the material shall be such that in accordance with Indiana State Specification (1985 Up-date), no individual piece weighs more than 120 lbs, 90-100% passes a 12" sieve, 20-60% of the material passes a 6" sieve and not more than 10% passes a 1 " sieve. Reasonable care shall be taken in loading to obtain a similar gradation for consecutive loads. CLIN 0009 quantity 1000 TN min/75,000 TN max, Stone, Designated RIPRAP (Shot Rock), commercial grade, quarry run in accordance with Indiana State Specifications (1985 Up-date). CLIN 0010 quantity 1000 TN min/100,000 TN max, Sand No. 24, washed, clean free of dirt and objectional matter. In accordance with Indiana State Specification (1985 Up-date). Size of fine aggregates, Paragraph (g). See 903-aggregates, 100% pass through 3/8" screen, 95-100% through No. 4 screen, 70-100% through No. 8 screen, 40-80% through No. 16 screen, 20-60% through No. 30 screen, 7-40% through No. 50 screen, 1-20% through No. 100 screen and 0-6% through No. 220 screen. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination. Actual delivery dates will be specified in each individual delivery order. Final inspection will be NSWC Crane, IN. Selection of award will be based on past performance and price. Offers that are non compliant with any material requirements of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Contracting By Negotiation Procedures as setforth in FAR Part 15. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
