- Description
- Notice of Intent to issue a noncompetitive award for a Dual-Frequency Identification Sonar (DIDSON) to Applied Physics Laboratory, University of Washington. The DIDSON is required to support the USGS Columbia River Research Laboratory, Cook, WA in conducting a study of chinook and chum salmon spawning below the Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River. Applied Physics Laboratory is the sole developer of this technology and the only known source for acoustic cameras. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Determination to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No additional synopsis will be published. See Numbered Note 22.
