- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is Request for Quotation No. 01SQ340156 which incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular No. 97-23. This is a Small Business Set-Aside, the NAICS is 325188 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, has a requirement for 225 short tons of Hydrated Lime over the next 6 month period. The lime shall be high calcium, calcium hydroxide content 91% or greater, passing number 200 sieve 80% or greater, insoluble 3% or less, free moisture 1% or less, must meet AWWA Standard B202-93 and NSF Standard 60. Delivery orders shall be approximately 34 tons per month in bulk with blower (pneumatic operated)truck. The Government will coordinate delivery three days in advance of the required delivery date. Documentation Required: The following data shall be supplied with the bid document for evaluation/approval in such detail that the Government can determine the suitability for service: Material Safety Data Sheet and an Affidavit of Compliance shall accompany each truck load delivery. FOB is Destination with the first delivery about or around April. Delivery shall be made to Bureau of Reclamation, 7301 Calle Agua Salada, Yuma AZ 85364. The deadline for receipt of quotes is March 26, 1999 at 4:15 p.m. Responses to this RFQ should be mailed to Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, Attention: YAO-3120, 7301 Calle Agua Salada, Yuma AZ 85366 or faxed to 520-343-8568. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial applies. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items; Evaluation will be based on the lowest priced technically acceptable product by a responsible vendor. Provision 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items; a completed copy of this provision shall be required with the quote. Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items applies with no addenda to the clause. Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items applies and the following clauses are applicable: Nos. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16. No DPAS has been set. Award will be made to the responsible offeror that provides a technically acceptable product at the lowest price. The offeror shall provide required information that demonstrates the product's ability to meet the minimum requirements of the specifications. See Notes: 1 and 12.*****
