Description

The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) intends to award contracts to Mr. Peter A. Marino and Mr. Robert Kohler under the authority of Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Marino and Kohler will become nucleus of the NIMA Technology Advisory Board (NTAB). The objective of the board is to perform, in a timely and through manner, tasks and studies in support of the Director/NIMA's responsibilities. Specifically, the NTAB's focus will be on the Director/NIMA responsibility, on behalf of the DCI and SECDEF, to perform, direct and coordinate the research, design, development, deployment, operation and maintenance of systems and archiving of imagery, imagery intelligence and geospatial information. Marino and Kohler are uniquely qualified personnel to staff the NTAB because of their fields of expertise and former association with NIMA and NTAB-like advisory activities throughout the DoD and the Intelligence Community.
