- Description
- Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to perform miscellaneous asphalt and concrete repairs at U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod. These types of services shall include some or all depending on the damage experienced throughout the year: a) Bituminous pavement crack sealing and slurry sealing. b) Temporary bituminous pavement patches (Up to 10 SF). c) Permanent bituminous pavement patches (Up to 20 SF). d) Seal coat bituminous pavement. e) Vegetation removal between asphalt pavement and concrete curbs and then crack seal. f) Rigid concrete pavement crack sealing. g) Rigid concrete patches (Up to 20 SF). h) Patching rigid concrete with asphalt (Up to 20 SF). i) Grading of earth and soil aggregate surfaces. j) Manhole or catch basin masonry replacement and top 24_ frame. k) Apply white and yellow 4_ traffic stripping to include numbers, letter and directional arrows. l) Minor Paving to just include wear and base courses (Up to 1200 CF) Surfaced area maintenance is defined to include all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, supplies, management, coordination, and supervision required to maintain and repair surfaced areas and other specific ground structures, such as drainage ditches. The term "surfaced areas" includes all pavements and miscellaneous or stabilized (other than grass) areas used for vehicular, aircraft, or pedestrian traffic (such as roads, streets, service drives, walks, parking areas, open storage, and airfield paved areas), and includes base and sub-base. Surfaced areas services include those recurring maintenance, repair, alteration, and related services which the typical activity would need to accomplish either by in-house forces or by contract, and for which the quantity and scope of work can be clearly defined. A bidders list is no longer available. This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
