Description

The U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) intends to establish a long term ship scrapping/disposal program to dispose of obsolete National Defense Reserve Fleet (NDRF) vessels. In consideration of private sector interest in this program, and to further assist in the preparation of a draft Request for Proposal (RFP), MARAD will host a meeting with industry representatives on Friday, April 6, 2001, at 10:00 a.m. EST, in Room 6200 of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Heqadquarters (David Nassif) Building, 400 7th Street, S.W., Washington, D.C. The DOT building is a secured facility, therfore, attendees should allow approximately 30 minutes for processing into the building. Due to space consideration, participation will be limited to two (2) representatives per company.
