Description

This is a correction to Sole Source Notification N66001-01-R-5024. The following information is ADDED to the original notice. The INMARSAT Type Approved Saturn-Bm terminals shall have the following capabilities: 16Kbps Digital Voice, 9.6Kbps Group III Fax, 9.6Kbps Asynchronous Data, 64Kbps Synchronous Data, STU-III, a key operated EMCON Switch, and CN-17 compliant. In addition, the Saturn-Bm terminal shall be capable of providing 128Kbps synchronous data and Antenna hand-over. The requirement also includes engineering services as well as the operation and maintenance support. Engineering tasks may include product improvement of existing equipment. Operation tasks may include factory training and shipboard on-the-job training. Maintenance tasks may include warranty and non-warranty repair of installed systems. Contract award will be for one base year and four one-year option periods. The estimated value of the proposed contract is $26,000,000, including options. Interest and capability statements are due at 3:00 PM Pacific time, 14 April 2001.
