Description

The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation and management necessary to supply one special purpose truck for lease to be delivered to the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland. The vehicle must be delivered in 60 days of the ordering date. The type of vehicle to be leased is a 4 door, 4x4 transfer case with shift on the fly feature, 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive, diesel engine -- (7.3 Litre V-8), axle ratio -- 4.88, GCWR -- 26,000 lbs. maximum, towing capacity = 17,400 lbs., receiver type pintle hitch with ball capable of towing 15,000 lbs. or greater (trailer height is 26"), 12,000 lb. winch/recover, body style -- utility bed, exterior color -- white, interior color -- preferably grey, sliding rear window, front tow hooks, power windows and locks, AM/FM radio, air conditioning, tow mirrors, tilt steering wheel, engine block heater, engine hour meter, automatic transmission fluid cooler. The vehicle will be leased on a yearly basis. There will be a base year with two (2) option periods. The total contract performance period will not exceed 36 months. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 53212, size standard 500. The Standard Industrial Code is 7513. The solicitation package will be available on the Internet for viewing and downloading approximately friday, March 23, 2001. This will be the only method of receiving the specification and any amendments to the specification. The web site address is: esol.navfac.navy.mil.
