Description

100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The due date for receipt of bids is an estimated date and is subject to change. The actual date and time for receipt of bids will be specified in the solicitation document. The solicitation document will be available on or about 30 April 2001. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system has been replaced with the new North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). The old SIC code was 1629 with a size standard of $13.5 million. The new NAICS code for this project is 234990 with a size standard of $17.0 million. The term "size standard" describes the numerical definition of a small business. In other words, a business, including its affiliates, which has been in business for 3 or more complete fiscal years with annual average gross revenue of $27.5 million or below meets the size standard and is considered Small Business. Contractor must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration prior to award of this solicitation. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The work consists of Maintenance Dredging of approximately 680,000 CY of unclassified material in Murrells Inlet, Georgetown County, South Carolina. Disposal will be at nearby Garden City Beach, Huntington Beach, and at the west end of the south jetty. The work includes before and after surveys of the beach areas and monitoring structures adjacent to Garden City Beach during construction. The estimated value of the proposed project is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.00. Plans and Specifications will be issued only as an Electronic Bid Set (CD-ROM format) at no cost.
