Description

ISSUE DATE: 04/03/01. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary for steam line replacement at the USCG Academy, New London, CT (New London County). Base Bid includes, but is not limited to, replacing the existing steam and condensate lines from Manhole 8 to Munro Hall and Johnson Hall. Work consists of removing existing asbestos insulated steam/condensate conduit line and replacing with a new separate steam and condensate pre-insulated system complete with all appurtenances shown and specified. The contractor shall provide a temporary steam boiler for Munro Hall where shown. There is one Optional Bid Item to replace the steam and condensate lines from McAllister Hall to Yeaton Hall. Work consists of removing existing asbestos insulated steam/condensate conduit line and replacing with a new separate steam and condensate pre-insulated system complete with all appurtenances shown and specified. The contractor shall provide a temporary steam boiler for the Yeaton Hall Chiller where shown. Estimated cost of this project, inclusive of optional bid item, is between $250,000 and $500,000 dollars. NAICS code is 235110. Solicitation packages to be available on or about 04/03/01. This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted.
