Description

This is notice of intent to negotiate with Racal Recorders Inc., 480 Spring Park Place, Suite 1000, Herndon VA 20170 on an other than full and open competitive basis for the procurement of the following items: 2 each -- 100-2010, D4 High Speed Digital Recording System; 2 each -- 110-3042, MBR5-2 Channel Bus Record Interface; 2 each -- 110-3107, BBM6 Battery Back Up; 1 each -- 130-0015, FTRANS License SCSI; 2 each -- 20-0600 CK-D4 Connector Kit for D4; 2 each -- 120-0601, CK-MBR5; and 6 each -- 20-0115, Blanking Plate. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Racal Recorders Inc. because the items being procured are direct replacements for the installed Magnetic Recorder Suite on the HSL Platform and must meet the form, fit, function requirements of the existing systems utilized by Project Beartrap. Delivery is required to be FOB Destination to Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD within 8 weeks after contract award.
