Description

The purpose of this procurement is to obtain services in support of Machinery Research and Development. Services shall be in the areas of research, development, testing, and evaluation projects dealing the technology and related disciplines used in the development of naval machinery systems. The statement of work will include task areas as follows: (1) Program Planning and Management, (2) Shipboard Technology Research, and (3) Component and System Test and Evaluation. The proposed contract performance period shall be for a total of five (5) years, and it is estimated that 124,400 hours are required per year. The Request for Proposal shall be released on or about 15 May 2001 with a closing date of thirty (30) days thereafter.
