Description

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the National Academy of Sciences/National Research Council for research and evaluation capabilities in building science and housing policy. This contract will provide research, organizational, and evaluation capabilities in identifying building programs and policices, developing crieteria for thei evaluation, convening expert panels for various forums, organizaing these forums on differing scales and for different goals (i.e., roundtables, worksshops, advisory panels, or conferences), promulgating nationally recognized standards for assessments and assessment reports, and providing other research or investigative assistance that support HUD's broader research agendas and programs.
