- Description
- The Colville National Forest requires Trail Maintenance on approximately 98 miles (per year) of system trails on the Sullivan Lake Ranger District, Stevens and Pend Oreille Counties, Washington; and within the Priest Lake Ranger District, Idaho Panhandle National Forests, Boudary County, Idaho. There is wilderness, proposed wilderness and not wilderness areas. Work will consists of logout and tread cleaning, brushing and limbing, reshaping tread, drainage structure maintenance, and water bar installations. This project will be advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about April 9, 2001. Estimated start work date is on or about May 7, 2001. Logout and Tread Cleaning are generally required to be done within two weeks of snow melt for most trails. The most intensive period of contract work occurs in late June and early July, when over half of the trails open almost simultaneously. The project is for FY 2001 and will have 2 one-year options (for Fiscal Years 2002 and 2003). Quotes are estimated to be due April 30, 2001. The proposed project listed here is a 100 percent small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered.
