Description
The work covered by this project consists of the Contractor furnishing all layout, survey, plant, labor, supervision, quality control, materials, equipment, machines, tools, appliances, services, supplies, and incidentals and performing all operations in connection with the cleaning & disinfecting of Hangar 4314, followed by providing and installing bird netting (hardware cloth) and other anti-bird devices (bird spikes) inside Hangar 4314 located at Dyess AFB, Texas, complete and in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. Other work to be included is the repair of 700 LF of cracks in concrete floor, grind 12 drain gates and make level with floor, repair 1,000 bolt popouts/divits in concrete floor, repair 4,000 LF of concrete expansion joints, apply 1,300 LF of red security striping and yellow taxi and wing tip clearance striping, apply 12 ground point circles, apply 4 standard Air Force secure area signs, apply 2 standard Air Force entry control point signs, apply 24 LF green and white diagonal lines for eyewash, and apply 54,000 SF reflective coating in accordance with Engineering Technical Letter 96-5 (attached with solicitation). This project is established to have a contractor clean up/remove all bird debris (droppings, feathers, bones, carcasses, nests, etc.) from the hangar, disinfect the hangar, and provide a system of bird netting (hardware cloth) and bird spikes that would essentially deny use of the facility to pigeons & starlings. After this project has been completed, a pigeon or starling would still be able to fly inside an open hangar door, but hopefully such visitors would be unable to find a place of rest and would quickly leave, and perhaps go elsewhere on a permanent basis. The contractor in accordance with current Federal, State of Texas, and Air Force Regulations, and the plans and specifications shall dispose of all bird debris. The added part of this project is to completely refurbish the hangar floor as indicated above. The estimated contract magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The proposed procurement is unrestricted and all eligible offerors may submit an offer. All offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Lack of registration in the CCR will render an offeror_s proposal ineligible. If you are not registered in the CCR you can register at www.ccr2000.com. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 233320. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 26 Mar 01, on www.fedbizopps.gov.
