Description

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), has a requirement for exterior restoration to Building 209, BARC-East, Beltsville, Maryland 20705. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, transportaion, and supervision to perform exterior restoration to Building 209 for the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Beltsville, Maryland, in accordance with Maryland Historical Trust requirements, statement of work, specifications, special conditions, drawings, and the applicable Davis-Bacon wage rates. Work for the project shall include pointing out bricks, replacing fascia board, gutters, down spouts, two story porch, one story porch, repairing the roof and painting. Completion time is 60 calendar days following receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 233320 with a small business size standard of $27.5 Million. This acquisition is set-aside for competition restricted to HUBZone small business concerns under the Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Program (FAR 19.13). This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB), using procedures from FAR Part 14 -- Sealed Bidding. One Site Visit will be scheduled for April 24, 2001, (date subject to change). The Government recommends that contractors proposing on the project visit the site and make themselves aware of the conditions. Magnitude of project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The anticipated solicitation release date is April 04, 2001, and award date is May 15, 2001. Solicitation packages are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis.
