Description

CONSTRUCTION SERVICES -- Drilling and grouting to fill an abandoned air shaft of a coal mine located beneath Newcastle Coal Creek Parkway, near the town of Newcastle, Washington. Work includes 1) approximately 800 linear feet of drilling (15 holes) through overburden and fill material in order to perform grout injections; 2) sampling soil utilizing standard penetration test (SPT) methods; 3) filling subsurface voids with grout (estimated 270 cubic yards); and 4) providing traffic control throughout all construction activites at the site. Liability insurance of $500,000 per person and $1,000,000 per occurrence required. Coal Creek No. 4 Shaft Reclamation Project; Request for Quote Number: OSM-DFM-01-14015; estimated price range is <$100,000; construction performance period of 21 calendar days in Spring 2001. Attendance at the April 24, 2001 (10:00 AM Pacific time) pre-bid meeting is mandatory for bidders. The pre-bid site showing will be held on-site in Newcastle, Washington.
