, Ref Nr PART NUMBER AND NSN TO BE DETERMINED (TBD), Qty 246 EA, Delivery FOB Origin -- the Naval Inventory Control Point Philadelphia (NAVICP-PHIL) anticipates award of a Logistics Engineering Change Proposal (LECP) as a result of competetive bids; the LECP, via the associated Statement of Work (SOW), defines the requirements for the design, development, fabrication, documentation, test and delivery of an improved S-3B Aircraft Automatic Thrust Servo (ATS); the ATS is part of the aircraft's engine compartment, mounted adjacent to the fuel control, and is part of the Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS); the ATS positions the engine fuel control valve and power lever in response to command inputs from the Flight Data Computer; the ATS is used to maintain a specific air speed and/or angle of attack; the goal of the LECP is to provide a replacement ATS to the Navy fleet that duplicates the form and function of the existing ATS, and will significantly enhance the reliability of the AFCS, with no loss of functional performance; the replacement ATS must be compatible with the existing aircraft mounting and connectors; the contractor is responsible for providing the necessary facilities, personnel and materials to accomplish the tasks defined in the SOW, and deliver 246 each replacement ATS units with significantly improved reliability; See Note 26, See Note 22*****
