Description

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is contemplating award on a sole source basis to Yinnel Technology, Inc., South Bend, IN, for the production of large cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) crystals that would foster rapid development and improvement of radiation detectors at room temperature. The award will be made on a sole-source basis to Yinnel Technology because they are the only known company that possesses the ability to produce large CZT crystals on a consistent basis. The proposed effort will include items such as the following tasks: 1) CZT Crystal Development, 2) Crystal Evaluation, and 3) Supply of Related Technical Information. See Note 22. *****
