- Description
- The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Intramural Research Program (IRP) is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations having the capability to provide the NIDA IRP with all personnel and services required to recruit, screen and fully evaluate potential research participants for acceptance into a research protocol by the Federal Scientists. The contractor will provide discharge planning for residential research participants that may include referrals to other facilities or agencies. The contractor will pay out all remuneration to the research participants. The schedule and the amount of remuneration will be determined by the government. Contractor services will be performed at the NIDA, IRP located on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Research Campus in Baltimore, Maryland. This work is currently being performed by NOVA Research Company under Contract N01DA-6-9052. NIDA anticipates that a 5-year cost reimbursement type contract (with options for 5 additional years), will result from this procurement. RFP No. N01DA-1-9902 will be available electronically on or about April 4, 2001, and may be accessed through the Internet at the following address: (URL: http://www.nida.nih.gov/RFP/RFPList.html) Please note that the RFP for this acquisition will be streamlined to include only the Work Statement, Deliverables and Reporting Requirements, Special Requirements and Mandatory Qualifications, Technical Evaluation Criteria, and other necessary Proposal Preparation Instructions. All information required for the submission of an offer will be contained in the electronic RFP package. Following proposal submission and the initial review process, offerors comprising the competitive range may be requested to provide additional documentation to the Contracting Officer. Response to the RFP will be due on or about May 21, 2001. Any responsible offeror may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Government. This advertisement does not commit the Government to award a contract. See numbered Note 26.
