Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has the need for the construction of one two-story, wood frame, office structure (approximately 8,400 sq ft)in King Salmon, Alaska, which shall include all equipment, materials and labor necessary to complete the afore mentioned facility as per the drawings and specifications. THIS PROCUREMENT HAS BEEN SET-ASIDE FOR THE COMPETITIVE 8(A) PROGRAM. The geographical restriction is ALASKA. The Small Business Administration (SBA) Requirement Number is 7700-01-101224. It has been determined that competition will be limited to 8(a) firms serviced by the SBA Anchorage, Alaska District Office. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit bids. Joint Venture Agreements-Joint Ventures are allowable on competitive 8(a) set-asides, however, SBA must receive the joint venture agreement prior to proposal due date and approved before award of resulting contract. If you are contemplating a joint venture on this project, you must advise your assigned Business Opportunity Specialist (BOS) as soon as possible. It is also recommended that the agreement be submitted as soon as practicable to ensure compliance with established regulations. Any corrections and/or changes needed can be made only when your BOS has adequate time for a thorough review before the bid due date. NO CORRECTIONS AND/OR CHANGES ARE ALLOWED AFTER TIME OF SUBMISSION OF BIDS. The construction period is 275 calendar days and the cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The solicitation issue date will be around April 5, 2001. The designated Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1542 and the NAICS code is 233320, the size standard is $27,500,000.00 for this requirement.
