Description

Project includes architectural repairs, mechanical systems replacement and upgrades, and related site restoration at six (6) historic buildings at Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, Lincoln, and Lexington MA. Five of the structures are former single family homes and one structure is a one story barn. Work includes one septic system, five fire suppression systems, five water line replacements, four fire detection system replacements/upgrades, three HVAC system upgrades including boiler replacements, six electrical systems upgrades (includes some intrusion detection work and light fixtures), window repair/replacement, exterior painting, building sill repair/replacement, exterior storm sash removal, interior storm sash installation, interior painting, clapboard and trim replacement, stone foundation repair, install wood shake roofing, framing repair/replacement, wood floor refinishing, plaster repair, structural repairs, insect pest treatment. Options include site restoration work involving regrading around foundations, seeding, selective vegetative clearing, pavement removal, drip edge installation, bulkhead demolition, and dry laid stone wall construction. This solicitation is open to all concerns regardless of size. Solicitation will be available on or about April 2, 2001. Requests must be made by mail or facsimile. All interested parties are requested to attend a pre-proposal conference and site visit on April 9, 2001. Location is the Noah Brooks Tavern, 33 Great North Road (Route 2A), Lincoln, MA. Construction estimate for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
