Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) sub part 12.6., as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation and THERE WILL BE NO WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION ISSUED. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotation is RFQ-797-FDF2-01-0015. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-14. The NAIC number is 33912. The Air Force Medical Logistics Office has the following requirement: The contractor shall provide a new dental medical air compressor system. This new system shall meet or exceed NFPA99C Level III Standards, Air Force MIL-HDBK-1191 and 9.3.2.2 Dental Compressed Air Standards. The new system shall include: Quadplexed (4) 5 H.P. oilless scroll belt drive compressors; provide capacity of 50 scfm at 100 psig; produce minimum of 90 psig at end of piping run; each compressor to have aftercooler and electric condensate drain valve. The new system shall have duplexed electric air dryers with electric drain valves. The new system shall have NEMA 12 medical control panel with Fused Main Disconnect Switch. All compressors to have circuit breaker; run lights and hour meters; duplexed hand/off/auto control switches; power on indicator lights; Lag and high temperature alarm lights and audio alarm w/resets; automatic compressor alternator switch; 100 volt control transformer; remove alarm dry contacts; Corrosion resistant lined ASME receiver tank with 3-way bypass valve, electric drain valve, safety relief valve, pressure gauge, and sight glass; Duplexed medical filter package; Microprocessor controlled dew point monitor with alarm and programmable set points; Duplexed final line regulators; Single point air inlet with duplexed inlet filters; One year/5,000 system warranty, 3 year/10,000 hour compressor limited warranty. The contractor shall install this system in the Mechanical room. Connection to the Air to intake piping system, and dental air supply system. Equipment to be factory mounted on operating base and factory tested. Equipment shall be delivered to job site. Factory representative assistance shall be available when system is started up and will be certified when brought on line. The contractor shall coordinate and schedule project with SSgt Settles at Offutt AFB. A site visit has been scheduled for 28 March 2001 at 8:00am at Offutt AFB. Offerors responding to this announcement shall provide all information contained in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror -- Commercial Items. As stated in this clause, the Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with offerors. Therefore, the offeror's initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a price and technical standpoint. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussion if later determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary. 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification -- Commercial Items. An authorized representative of the offeror must sign these representations and certifications; (4) The Offeror shall also provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code, Contractor Establishment Code (DUNS number) and Tax Identification number. The resulting firm fixed price award will incorporate the requirements of the clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items. Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
