Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Sherbrooke Consulting, Inc. for facilitation services. Simplified Acquisition Procedures using FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items will be used for this requirement. These services must begin as soon as possible and will consist of design and facilitation of stakeholder and executive sessions to help implement an approach to executive consideration of the long-range issues that face SSA. Sherbrooke Consulting was the designer and facilitator of previous executive sessions conducted under 0440-99-37233. Sherbrooke has unique capabilities for satisfying this requirement in that Sherbrooke has a strong background in strategic planning and social program management in the public sector and has established credibility and rapport with the Agency_s executives. These capabilities will enable Sherbrooke to perform with minimum disruption and duplication of effort on the part of SSA_s staff and within the required timeframes. This is neither a request for quotation or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. It is SSA_s belief the Sherbrooke consulting is the only qualified source to meet our needs. Interested sources that believe they have the capability to perform the services required may submit a capability statement to Eileen Keating Carnaggio, Contracting Officer, via email at eileen.carnaggio@ssa.gov. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 PM, local prevailing time on Friday, March 23, 2001. The government will consider all responses but a determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely under the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. If no viable responses are received by the due date, the Government will issue a purchase order to Sherbrooke Consulting, Inc.
