Description

THE NAVAL AIR WARFARE TRAINING SYSTEMS DIVISION (NAWCTSD) -- intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Signal Corporation under authority of FAR 6.302, a firm fixed price service contract for the incorporation of quick response engineering modifications, engineering maintenance services and configuration management on the E2C/C2A training devices. These corrections are necessary to ensure proper operation and performance of the trainers as dictated by the training curriculum. As the current on site support contractor, Signal Corp, maintains the software and documentation baselines for all E2C/C2A training devices and is currently executing and tracking modification programs on all E2C/C2A trainers. See Note 22. This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Award to be made on or about 04 Apr 01.
